Notification to Parents of Juniors
AKC is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for the youth that compete in AKC events.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to take the Safesport Parent’s Guide to Misconduct in Sports Core course (30 minutes).
Parents/Guardians are also encouraged to take with their children one of the two complimentary Safesport courses designed for those under 18.
Safesport for Youth Athletes class (age 13-17, 20 minutes).
SafeSport for Kids course (age 5-12, 15 minutes).

- You will need to use the below enrollment key – PublicKey
- Create a log in with your email
- When creating the login id, towards the bottom it states Name of Sport or Community Organization please input American Kennel Club - Juniors
- Accept Terms & Conditions
- Click Training and Education, then SafeSport Courses for All
- Go to middle of the page - Take Our SafeSport Courses To Be Better Equipped To area
- Click "GET TRAINED NOW"
- This will bring you to a new link
- You should see:
- Go to top left corner and click catalog
- Pick the course you wish to review
- The AKC recommended videos are:
- AKC Guide to Misconduct in Sport – Not Affiliated FFS – 30 mins
- SafeSport for Kids – 15 mins
- SafeSport for Youth Athletes – 30 mins
- Click Enroll
- Click Start to watch the video
